With the Good…Comes the Bad
It’s great that new research and drugs are being created to help fight the spread and elimination of STDs, but we wouldn’t need them as much in the first place if we would just learn to get in the habit of teaching and practicing safe sex. We are taught to walk, talk and even to respect our elders, but it looks like now our elders are not even respecting themselves. According to data provided by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), from 2005 to 209, the number of reported cases of Syphilis and Chlamydia among those 55 and older increased 43%. It seems seniors are indeed enjoying life, but are not doing it responsibly. So how in the world are we, in the younger generations, suppose to respect our elders and learn from them? Who knows? Maybe it’s time to “ground” them for a while, take away their Viagra and enroll them in safe sex classes.
