Chlamydia

Chlamydia is the most reported sexually transmitted disease in the United States. An estimated 2.8 million new cases occur in the United States EACH YEAR according to the CDC. The majority of those infected have no symptoms at all. Chlamydia screening is now recommended at least annually for all sexually active people. This is crucial since most people are unaware of the fact that they have contracted the disease. If you think you may have Chlamydia or another disease you should get a test panel. A test panel will test for multiple possible diseases.

Teenage girls and younger w0men under the age of 25 have the highest risk for developing Chlamydia. The dramatic numbers of those infected and sometimes re-infected in the United States is absolutely staggering. Without more education and prevention the numbers are sure to continue to climb. We can all do our part by getting tested annually.
