Yes, the TV show does too – but I’m referring to actual community, you know, like the one you live in. The one that is supposed to be supportive and give guidance. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case in today’s day and age. It’s more of just: a social group of any size whose members reside in a specific locality, share government, and often have a common cultural and historical heritage – that many of us just kind-of got stuck in.
But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t people trying – in fact, the CDC just awarded $5.4 million for four different communities for their approaches to STD prevention. So it’s great to hear that community isn’t dead – it’s just too bad more are not like them. Here’s the full article.
