Want to Help Fight AIDS? Add to or host the Quilt.
With World AIDS Day today (and every year since 1988 on Dec 1st), it reminded me of the AIDS Memorial Quilt that the NAMES Project Foundation has put together to remember those lives that have been taken from this disease. If you haven’t seen or heard about it yet just click on the link above. And then, if you want to read a touching story about the quilt, AIDS stats, and how backwards our nation’s school’s sex-education system is – click here.
The best way, of course, to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS is to remember to practice safe sex – use condoms (if you have multiple partners and/or are in a new relationship) and get tested annually. After that, then feel free to add to the quilt or even host it.
